My confession … for Jayce’s bordem

So, I have a confession to make.

My Facebook Friends will remember last Friday was the first day Jayce and I were “home alone.” The kids had gone back to school, I was working from home and it was just the two of us hanging out.

Well, about 9:30 in the morning, Jayce decided he couldn’t stand the bordem any longer the kid that never stops plopped down on the couch and fell asleep. He slept like this for almost an hour!

So, here’s the confession. The reason he was so bored is that I’m in a “home decor” mood.

I have a vinyl cutter, but I have had little time to play with it. Last Friday was the day! Over the weekend Keith helped me apply my first large format vinyl.

I took a picture for all of you to see, and realized that I need some help. I love this shelf in the picture, but it has to be high to see the bottom part … what should I put on a shelf like this? Any good ideas?

Frist Day of School

Well, it’s back to school time. The kids went back today and it’s a lot of firsts for us. Emalee is starting the 4th Grade in Mrs. Ehardt’s class. We went to open house last night and she has a lot of good friends in her class (but she’s missing some of her friend’s from last year’s class too!)

Kyle is staring the first grade in Mrs. Pfenning’s class. He was a little more shy at open house, but did see some good friends too. He seemed pretty excited this morning. Especially because he was wearing his new “Homework in not in my vocabulary” shirt. Hopefully he doesn’t send too strong of a message to his teacher!

Emalee's First Day of School

Jayce loved wearing his hand-me-down backpack and is only sad that he had to come back home with Mom. He’s definitely ready for school … he thinks.

Here are our first day of school pics. I’m so glad Emalee is coming out of the “goofy picture stage” but Kyle is smack dab in the middle. :-)

Summer Camping

I love camping! I love that the mountains are cooler, the air is crisper and we spend all day outside!

We had a great time camping with friends last weekend. Jayce got his first ATV experience around the camp and Kyle road a friends 4-wheeler for what seemed like endless hours. Emalee got in a little 4-wheeling, some socializing with friends and hiking around the campsite.

I’m hoping this isn’t the end of camp season for us, but with school starting next week, this just might be it!

Lauryn’s Senior Pictures

I had so much fun shooting Lauryn’s Senior Pictures.

It was a pretty warm day when we started, but then the clouds moved in and eventually it rained on us … pretty good too! We didn’t let that bother us. We finished up Lauryn’s session with some dancing in the rain!

I’ve finally finished editing her pictures and just need to put some finishing touches on the CD before I can deliver these images! I’m so happy to have helped another local high school senior capture memories of what will undoubtedly be a wonderful year in her life.

Good luck, Lauryn.

Senior Session in the Rain

This evening I had a super fun senior session in the rain! Lauryn was so much fun and at the end she just danced in the rain and we snapped pictures until we were soaked!

I can’t wait to post some pictures from this session. I know you’ll L-O-V-E, LOVE them!

If you are graduating in 2012, be sure to schedule you pictures soon! The yearbook deadlines will be here before you know it!
